I have hosted this trip and others similar for the past nine winters, approaching spring. Only once was the whether SO BAD that it was the topic and not the history re-lived (and that only for one day of torrential rain at Arlington Cemetery). In those 9 years it has only snowed once, and that on going home day last year. For a California native, that was kinda fun even though I had a trip right behind this one that was COLD and on-foot in D. C.
For the most part, with the exceptions mentioned above, whether has not been a problem. If you come healthy and prepared, it is more like 'Sacramento on the east coast'. A majority of our time can be spent indoors if inclement whether is forecast, but don't depend on it. We're a hardy bunch and most of you will never visit this area of the country again, so come to enjoy it however it presents itself.
Warning...If you are ill, please inform Mrs. Hagemyer or any trip leader so appropriate measures can be taken. We still want you to come. Precautions can be taken to limit exposure to others and get you feeling better.
