North versus South

Many of the Civil War battlefields are preserved by the National Park Service (NPS).  Gettysburg, Manassas, Bull Run, Antietam, and Appomattox to name a few.  Lasting from 1861-1865, the war spanned nearly the totality of President Abraham Lincoln's two terms. His Gettysburg Address epitomizes the struggle to 'save the union' and keep intact what our forefathers established in 1776.
